About Us

Kathryn and Dan have lived in Tucson for 25 years. They started Filthy Pirate Coffee as a hobby and a way to introduce business to their three kids. Life moves pretty fast, but through their coffee company, they're able to have quality family time with their kids while sharing the best local coffee with the community. Supporting the military and law enforcement is extremely important to their family.

Dan is a USMC veteran and served 20 years as a first responder. Their middle son is currently serving  as a first responder, a testament to his unwavering commitment to the community. Their son's active duty service as a Marine and their daughter's plan to enlist after high school graduation underscore the family's deep connection to those who serve their country and community.

Beyond their dedication to the military and law enforcement, Kathryn and Dan are passionate about supporting individuals with special needs. Their eldest son, who is on the autism spectrum, has inspired them to champion causes that advocate for and uplift individuals with unique abilities, fostering an environment of understanding and inclusivity.
